                                         RESEARCH PROPOSAL





   I have selected a topic nutrition disturbance. I am interested in how wide the problem with
   bulimia and anorexia is in Czech Republic.

   The population in my research would be young people from 14-19, attending high school (if
   there were information about dropouts I would include them too, but probably I would have a
   problem reaching them for the questionnaire), both girls and boys. By high school I mean
   gymnasium, and other high schools.

   I would divide the students by the type of school they attend, by age, gender and the field of
   studying, so that I would be able to see if there are any differences among the schools
   (gymnasium vs. other schools) and also concerning gender (among schools) and field of
   studying.

   For the methodological part I would use the statistical data collected (medical researches if
   there are some) and would combine with the questionnaire. I would question the same amount of
   girls and boys (in different schools and fields of studying). So that is how I would find out
   how the students perceive this problem (if they think such problem exists, and maybe also the
   reasons why is it present if it is).

   I would do a pilot research so I would find out if students know the meaning of the words
   bulimia, anorexia and if the population is proper and also if I would get any useful data for
   the questionnaire at all.

   Then I would try to do the research and select the data I would find useful for my research.
   After that I would interpret the results and maybe even compare them to an international
   research in this field if it was done.

   At the end there is of course generalization and report.
