Oxford debate: “What future for the Eastern dimension of the ENP?”
Group 1 (Tessa Nynke Speelman, Simon Stickelmann, Anika Uthleb and Froukje Zuidema) prepares, develops and explains 5 arguments supporting the following position: The conception of the Eastern partnership, with its priorities, goals, instruments and mechanisms is basically successful and should be preserved. Support your position with particular examples of the successes of the EaP and with recommendations, what to preserve in the EaP for the future.
Group 2 (Dominic Berkeley, Jennifer Frances Birch, Benedetta Fasciani and Rianne Keeler) prepares, develops and explains arguments supporting following position: The conception of the Eastern partnership, with its priorities instruments and mechanisms is basically unsuccessful in achieving its goals. Support your position with particular examples of the failures of the EaP and with recommendations, what to change for the future (also in the context of the events in the Eastern Europe).
Group 3 (Michiel Bastiaan C. Nanninga, Kristina Olausson and Ina Schmidt) serves as jury – summarizes both positions and decides whose arguments were better.
Groups may also use PPT presentation for presenting their arguments.
Written version of the group positions (in doc. format, min. 5000 characters long) should be submitted to the Information system (Submitted student work).
Deadline: March 26 (written positions of the opposing groups) and March 29 (written position of the jury)
