Block 8: Group debate 2. Moldova and the EU (Introduction) (April 12)
Group debate 2: “EU and its policy of democracy promotion and human rights protection: The case of Belarus”, April 12
Students will be divided into 3 groups. 2 groups will prepare, develop, explain and present arguments supporting particular position to the assigned topic. Third group will serve as a jury.
Groups may also use PPT presentation for presenting their arguments.
Written version of the group positions (in doc. format, min. 5000 characters long) should be submitted to the Information system.
Deadline for submission of PPTs: April 12, deadline for submission of written positions of Groups 1 and 2: April 15, deadline for submission of the position of the jury: April, 18.

The articles discuss the problems of Moldova and the EU - Moldova relations from both historic and current perspective. The text by Secrieru is recommended (not compulsory) as it underlines certain problematic features of Moldovan "europeization" together with mentioning the role of other external actors, that influence the situation.
