In the video, David Christian explains in a clear way [D1] how the universe creates complexity. All

we can see around us[D2]  is a large amount of complexity and this is called global[D3]  system of
complexity.

Complexity is built stage by stage. Each stage is magical and creating[D4]  something new in the
universe and this is called the threshold moments. One of this moment [D5] was the beginning of the
human species. The video describes that people were creating collective learning and began to
connect at a global level (transport, internet ect.). They have been creating a united global brain
based on collective memory[D6] .  The discovery of fossil fuels and collective learning
explain[D7]  enormous complexity all around us.

But the question is whether people are able to control this power of collective learning. It is
important that generations know the history very well to understand the opportunities and threats.
