During the first thirty years of Israeli's existence it arguably fought for its survival twice, created a reputation as a dependable ally and proxy for Europe and the United States during the Cold War and finally when offered the chance at peace took the historic steps towards achieving this with an Arab neighbor and the Palestinians. This week we discuss how national security strategy was an important role for Israel as well as the American responses.
