How Israel saw itself compared to its Arab neighbors as well as experiencing the cultural and societal 'shocks' following the 1967 war and the events of the 1970s is worth discussing as we see the growth of Israeli foreign policy through another war, international Olympic infamy, electoral revolution and finally a historic peace treaty with an Arab enemy-turned-friend.
