We have a state holiday in Czechia; you are free not to attend class because you do not have to. I would still encourage anyone who can make it to go, though. 

Anyway, go or do not go - you need to communicate with your classmates from the US to decide on the final angle you are choosing and discuss how you/they will present the mood board.
