Today we will discuss Cybersecurity. In the second part of today's class, Prof. Reuben Steff from the University of Waikato in New Zealand will discuss the use of emerging technologies and AI in warfare.
In preparation for the session, please read the Estonia 2007 fact sheet and think of answers to the following questions:
Do the events described in the fact sheet constitute a prohibited use of force/armed attack by Russia? (think of at least one supportive argument and one counterargument)
How should the Estonian government respond to the events (short + long term)?
Estonia is a NATO member state. Should the events trigger the collective defence
arrangement under Article 51? If so, what measures should be taken?
