Positive discrimination as a lawful measure Our study group would like to examine pozitive discrimination, its contribution and its weakness to the system of law. We would like to generaly explain positive discrimination and after brief general introduction of discrimination, we would like to aim our subject to the USA, where were positive discrimination realized in praxis. We would like to end up with results of this effort and debate about discrimination as lawful instrument, possibly talk about human rights and its violation. For our presentation we would like do combined presentation, made in PowePoint,show our listeners some video from debate in US Senate, possibly expression of human rights experts. Our sources will be generally books and BBC archives. For more cooperation, we would like to start our own debate on this subject in class. In my opinion it is important a very binding topic because people often speak about discrimination in true sense in word. This view could be unusual and informative. I personally look forward to the video from debate in US Senate. I am curios how will be the discussion and my classmates arguments and opinions. Svobodová M. 2. Women's rights in Saudi Arabia For our presentation we have chosen a stinging topic which concerns the civilized world throughout past decades: The situation of women in Saudi arabia regarding their rights. First we would like to make a short introduction in women's situation in Saudi arabia. This will help us understand why their situation is so different from the one in our own country. Then we would like to concentrate mostly on the rights which are focused on gender parity and finally we would end up with explaining the differences between laws for women in Czech Republic and those in Saudi arabia. We hope that you will find our presentation attractive and maybe also a little helpful. I am looking forvard to this subject, because I am very interested in Arabi theme in general. So I gladly hear any information involving this subject, describing arabic culture, moral rules and in the end of course women's rights in Saudi Arabia. Unknown soldier 3. European Commission In our presentation, we are going to talk about one of the body of the European Union, specifically European Commission. European Commission is the executive body of the EU. In the first part will are going to explain concepts like European Union, European Commission and formation, commissioners and other basic and important concepts. Secondly we are going to describe composition of the Commission, responsibility to European Parliament, Information about commissioner, number of commissioners, appointment and their work. We are going to tell you who are present commissioner. In conclusion we are going to give a quiz or crossword. The presentation is going to be made in PowerPoint. Source of the information are from the internet and books. This presentation is helpful especially for us students. It would bring us a lot of new information about theme that we encounter on daily basis. I would definetly like to attend to this presentation. My area of interest would mainly be in the basics for I personaly know a little about European Commission. Kalous M.
