HOTEL INFORMATION
We suggest you rent a car at the airport (LAX). Los Angeles is definitely a driving city. Pepperdine
is a forty-minute drive from the airport (without traffic). Public transportation to Malibu is
extremely limited.
Competition Hotel:
We have contracted for 35 rooms with the Sheraton Delfina Hotel ( http://www.sheratondelfina.com)
in Santa Monica a rate of $199.00 a night, single or double rooms, for the dates of October 20-25. When

We also recommend four hotels here in Malibu: Casa Malibu (no website) 310/456-2219, Malibu Beach
Inn (www.malibubeachinn.com) 310/456-6444, The Malibu Motel Inn (www.the-malibu-motel.com)
310/456-6169, and the Malibu Country Inn (http://www.malibucountryinn.com) 310/457-9622. Casa
Malibu, Malibu Beach Inn, and Malibu Motel are five minutes away from Pepperdine University, while
the Malibu Country Inn is six miles north of the campus located right next to Zuma Beach (it’s a great
beach for dolphin watching). All these hotels are small in size (15-25 rooms). For information about the

Some of you may choose to stay in the Santa Monica/West Los Angeles area, which is approximately 20
minutes from Malibu via the Pacific Coast Highway. Check out the Santa Monica area at
http://www.santamonica.com. Both the Malibu and Santa Monica web sites provide helpful information
on accommodations, dining and recreation.
Another area some may want to stay is the Calabasas/Agoura Hills/Woodland Hills communities. This
area is more suburban in nature. Many of the Pepperdine students live in this area in apartments and
condos. The most economical accommodation is the Goodnite Inn, 26557 Agoura Road in Calabasas. The
Inn has a Pepperdine rate of $53.00 a night. Even if rooms are filled up at that rate, they still offer
