Requirements
A. Here you may find two requirements to successfully finish the seminar:
1) an active participation in the seminars
- the active participation denotes that students must read all materials before the seminar, and therefore will be able to engage into an online discussion.
2) an essay related to the content of the sessions (international human rights, international investment law, international criminal law, the relationship between international and EU law).
The language of the essay is English.
The lenght of the essay:
8-10 pages. Shorter or longer essay will not be accepted.
1,5, 12 points, Times New Roman.
Students will be asked to provide a critical reflection on a topic in their essay. Thus it is expected the there will be a personal input of the student to the essay. In other words, it is not the aim to describe primarily what is known, but develop argumentation skills. A feedback will be provided by the teacher/or another student (to be agreed between the teacher and participants).
Footnotes must be included. Literature to be found by students via the databases or in the library.
The essay must be submitted by 5 December 2021. The essay submitted later for other than a justifiable reason will not be accepted. The justifiable reason refers to health issues, family reasons, NOT working reasons or performance of requirements for other subjects at the university.
B. The structure of the seminar:
1) An introductory presentation of the topic by the teacher, including a summary of the foregoing session
2) Discussion
3) Summary by the teacher {with or without a presentation).
