Case-Study Tests – Practice

  • Below you can find a file of 16 case-study tests that were used in past examination periods as a final exam in the International Trade Law course.
  • Please note that there have been changes to the contents of the course, as well as to the form of the final exam (questions relating to international commercial arbitration, WTO, common commercial policy of the EU, and other international transactions were added). Thus, case-study tests of 2020 and earlier do not reflect the current form of the final exam. However, this is not to say that they are not useful for practicing for the exam at home. They most certainly are.
  • Our recommendation for you is to go through these model tests as the semester goes along. Should you have any questions regarding the solutions, do not hesitate to ask directly at seminars or see your lecturer within their office hours. However, do not expect us to give you word-by-word correct answers or to tell you "what to write and how to formulate the answer to get points"...

  • Past case-study test are available HERE.

Case-Study Publication

  • The electronic publication "Klauzurní práce navázané na Úmluvu OSN o smlouvách o mezinárodní koupi zboží a další formy dovednostní výuky" presents an older teaching aid containing model case-study tests and shorter texts regarding individual contract clauses. Please bear in mind that this material was published in 2013. The form of the final exam has changed significantly since then (first part of the publication). However, the second part of the publication is still very useful and relevant.

"PMO"Casts

More than a year ago, I got an idea to create something along the lines of "podcasts" for the purposes of the Fall 2020 distance learning semester and, in particular, the International Trade Law course. I made the videos below with 5th year students who took this course in 2019. Since there have been no material changes to the contents of the videos, I reckon they may be of interest for you this year as well.

There is a total of 7 "PMO"Casts that – as I myself refer to them – were sewn with a hot needle. The idea for the first four topics came on a Sunday and the shooting started on Monday. With that being said, please excuse any potential shortcomings.

"Likes" will be highly appreciated :)

Thank you

Radovan Malachta
