5. LECTURE Domestic Violence, Child Protection


1) Moot court preparation

In your groups, be prepared to deliver a speech for an applicant in front of the ECtHR Grand Chamber. You will argue in favour of the applicant based on the application you drafted for the previous lecture or against the applicant as a government representative.

Opposing parties:

a. Aurora, Clara, Jakub, Karlijn (government) x Buse, Elsie, Ines, Klara, Paula (applicant)

b. Elena, Mihnea-Radu, Lyubomira, Martina (government) x Agnes, Eloir, Esther, Laoise, Sofia  (applicant)

Each party shall have up to 15 minutes to present their oral arguments. 

Recommended literature (highly recommended if you have no or little experience with mooting or speaking as a party representative):
