other vs. another
OTHER = different/ next (with plural countable/ uncountable nouns)
1 - adjective: Some apples are green, other apples are red.
Do you need any other information?
2 - pronoun OTHERS: Others know more than me. (= other people)

THE OTHER = the second/next one (two options or a limited number of them)
1 - adjective: The other candidate has more experience. (= the second one)
