Final Exam Czech VIII – Oral part A student prepares the presentation – audio Slide show – which has 2 parts: a) Brief case report of the patient (any field is acceptable) b) Characteristics of the disease. The score: a student can get the maximum of 50 points. The PM (passing point/mark) is 35 points. Part a) has these sections with the following scoring: Topic Score Presenting the patient 2 Family History 4 Personal History (including GA in woman) 4 Toxicological History 1 Social History 1 Work History 1 FA: what medicine he/she takes, for what and against what (It is not enough just to name the drugs!) 2 NO 1: onset, nature and duration of the problem, any medication?, symptoms, reason for hospitalization 3 No 2: course of hospitalization, in which ward, development of the condition 2 N03: prognosis and follow-up care after discharge from hospital 2 Total 22 points Part b) has these sections with the following scoring: Topic Score Characteristics of the disease 3 body The most common causes 3 body Typical symptoms 3 body Diagnostics 3 body Treatment 3 body Prognosis 3 body Total 18 bodů c) pronunciation and comprehensibility: scale 1–10 points 1 – almost incomprehensible, pronunciation influenced by a foreign language 5 – fully comprehensible, less frequent deficiencies in pronunciation 10 – perfect/natural pronunciation and comprehensibility General instructions Presentation range: min. 10, max. 10 slides. Slides will be drafted concisely (keywords) and will not contain long sentence units or paragraphs. The student will communicate everything necessary in an oral commentary, which is the main part of the presentation. The student will speak "in his own words". He will use language understood by fellow Czech non-native speakers and the non-professional public. Presentations that contain copied passages from Wikipedia or Google will not be accepted. The presentation will have the usual structure: address, introduction, case report, illness, conclusion and thanks.
