Introductory lesson


The introductory lesson takes place in the seminar room of the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine of the Brno University Hospital (2nd floor of the building L - see the plan below). In case of parallel teaching of 2 study groups, one of the groups will have an initial lesson at the FN USA or Children's Hospital, you will be informed in advance by email.


At the initial lesson you will be divided into 2-3 groups with the same number of students, one of which will be interning at the Brno University Hospital, one at the St. Anne's University Hospital and one at the Children's Hospital.

DISTRIBUTION OF INTERSHIPS
  • Each group will have a two-day internship in nuclear medicine.
  • The students interning at  St. Anne's University Hospital  will have a one-day internship at the Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute focused on cancer interventions.
  • Students interning at the Children's Hospital will have a one-day internship at the University Hospital Brno focused on interventional radiology.
  • Students interning at the Brno University Hospital will have a one-day internship at the Children's Hospital focusing on paediatric radiology.

Always go to the internships in a change of clothes (slippers + coat), please use the central changing rooms.

CREDIT

  • 100% participation + passing the anatomical test in IS
  • substitution of internships is possible individually after agreement with the teacher who was to lead the internship
  • the credit is a condition of registration for the exam

EXAM

  • 3 questions: radiology - general, nuclear medicine, clinical questions in radiology
  • Board of examiners: 1 general radiologist, 1 nuclear medicine physician, 1 paediatric radiologist
  • the condition for registration for the examination is credit in IS
  • registration for examination dates is usually possible the day before the examination, cancellation is possible at least 4 days before the examination

Nuclear medicine lectures takes place in Pavilion N in the old part (stará zástavba) of the University Hospital Brno (see the plan).

At St. Anne's University Hospital, the theoretical part of the lectures takes place in the seminar room marked on the plan (below is a photo of the entrance to the seminar room):


In the Children's hospital, the theoretical part of the lectures takes place in the seminar room on the 1st floor of building G - see the plan.
