Module 9: Migrant and Refugee Health

Seminar overview

🚩 This seminar focuses on key determinants that having an impact on migrant and refugee health during the migration process and on ways to overcome them within countries. 

🚤 Throughout the seminar particular emphasis will be put on COVID-19 pandemic and its disproportional impact on populations of migrants and refugees.

Learning objectives

After participating in this seminar:

  • Learners will understand the differences between refugees, asylum seekers and migrants.  ✅
  • Learners will have a deeper knowledge in mental health of migrants and refugees at various stages of the migration process.  ✅
  • Learners will be able to analyze health of migrant and refugees on population level, determine key factors that might have an impact on the health of these populations and find solutions how to overcome key barriers.  ✅
