Step 1 • Create your own account at https://www.zotero.org • Use is totally free. • The desktop version and add-on for the Firefox browser can be downloaded there (not required). Step 2 • After successful login, go to the "Web library" tab in the top menu • Use the magic wand to create your first quote • Enter the web address (URL) from which you had used or another identifier of your work (e.g. ISBN of the book, DOI of the scientific article, etc.) • The system will take care of the correct recording of all necessary data Step 3 • The records you want to export mark using you PC mouse and use button "Create bibliography" Step 4 • Choose a citation style (experimentation is allowed here). • The Masaryk University uses the ISO- 690 standard but it is not a requirement for this purpose. • Using the button "Copy to clipboard" move the bibliography to the text editor or your presentation If you prefer desktop version • In menu Edit – Preferences select your preferred citation style • Insert the recording using the magic wand tool like the web version of the program • Create bibliography by the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+C If using a browser add- on • While working, you must have the Zotero application running on your computer at the same time • On the web page you want to cite, press the "Save to Zotero" button in the top menu of buttons. • To create the bibliography is done in the desktop application using the shortcut s Ctrl+Shift+C
