Week 5 - Evidence-based Medicine

Dear students,

following 2. – 6. 11. 2020 you will attend a seminar within subject Public Health 1 focused on “Evidence informed decision-making process”.
This seminar will be performed fully online consisted of a stand-alone presentation, completing two tasks and short test, followed by a live discussion with a teacher using ZOOM including a check of your tasks.
Please follow the instructions below:
Before the seminar please complete:
1. Watch the video presentation
2. Complete two practical tasks explained during the presentation:

  • Read Titles - any ideas both SRs or not?
  • Read Abstracts - better ideas both SRs or any doubts?
  • Look to full text only to method sections - what is and what is not the systematic review?
  • Look at this meta-view graph. Think about what information you can gain???
  • We will discuss your answers during the seminar.
3. Complete a test in “ROPOT (Revision, Opinion Poll and Testing)”
4. Prepare et least 1-2 questions for the teacher what you don´t fully understand or would like to explain in more detail
