TBL LESSON: 07 Magda Bacáková – Breast Cancer [Tereza Vafková]
Upon completion of this instructional unit, the student will be able to:
• describe and demonstrate breast self-examination on a breast model
• explain the general principles of preventive screening
• describe the screening program for breast cancer
• list the symptoms of breast cancer
• propose examinations necessary for the diagnosis of breast cancer
• explain how histological findings influence the prognosis of oncological diseases
• communicate with a patient who seeks advice and guide them to seek professional help
• create a simple genogram based on the patient's family history
• recognize the extent of their responsibility, and thus not exceed their level of knowledge or skills, and to
remain under professional supervision for any medical procedure they perform
• recognize types of venous access in oncology and their indications
