Day 1: BLS refresh and ABCDE approach

Learning outcomes:

  • The student will get familiar with the functions and limitations of the high-fidelity simulator. 

  • The student will discover the place of intensive/critical care medicine in his clinical practice.

  • The student can order the steps in the ABCDE approach to critical patients. 

  • The student can plan the diagnostics modalities and treatment using the ABCDE approach for 30 minutes. 

  • The student can use the ABCDE approach, which includes the treat-as-you-go principle. 

  • The student identifies the need for help.
