   Lesson: Henry VIII and his 6 wives

   Warm-up:

   Lead-in: TIR (Teacher in role) = Henry VIII “Yes/No” Qs practice – guessing

   1)      Introducing the situation, dividing Ss into 7 groups, texts for reading and
   note-taking (preparation for role-play)

   CLIMAX:

   2)    “GHOST PARTY” – talking with Henry and the other wives about what happened when they
   were alive (aim: talking in role using the info gained by reading)

   

   CALMING-DOWN

   3)    Quiz:  What you remember, if you do not know, go to the wife who knows (reading, trying
   to remember, filling in, asking sb for info)

   4)    Checking the test

   Follow up: writing an article for a tabloid paper (distributing the wives differently)
