How to prepare your final talk - instructions * First think of a topic you are interested in within your specialization and you think the topic/issue is “hot”/new in your field (new discoveries, researches, events in your department). The topic should be attractive for you and other students. If you study two branches, e.g. Civics + Maths, you can choose one of them. * Think about your interest in your field of study, e.g. in Special Needs Education working with autistic children, in Social Education behavioural disorders in children, in Geography natural disasters, in Biology minerals, etc. * Find a text about that matter written in English by an English author. You can use a magazine, a book, some material from your department, films, documents, … * Read it, write out key words and a short summary. (= reading comprehension sheet) You must present it in brief to students in your class. * Don’t forget to write down the resource of your text, article, book, etc. * Your presentation based on your reading comprehension notes should be about 3 minutes.
