Practical Language 1B - Aaron's Class

Week 1

In order to start out on the right foot for the semester, the first thing to do is to set goals for what you'd like to accomplish this semester. Some of those goals should be about improving in skills in English. That is an activity that can earn you 10 points over the course of the semester.

If you set goals effectively last semester, you will be familiar with the instructions below and do not have to focus on them so much. Just note that your goal this semester must include at least one different goal from what you did in the past.

If you haven't set goals effectively before, be sure to read through the instructions carefully.

Ideally, your goal will be a statement that begins with something like "In May, I will be able to ..." and ends with something that we can test to see if you are able to do it.

In our first class we will discuss the teaching and come up with a preliminary rubric for evaluating the teaching. You will be able to see the rubric and a place to sign up for teaching spots in this course after our first class.
