Introduction and admin

Dear students,

Welcome to the second part of the subject Practical language 1. Remember, you must sign up in two classses with two different teachers: Ms. Katarína Lexová and Mr. Zdeněk Janík. This semester we will finish the coursebook and also cover some other materials focused on study skills.

The following is a brief outline of what to expect:

 

1. 2 written assignments (essays) = 20 points

2. 3 discussion forums = 12 points

3. 1 progress test = 20 points

4. Portfolio = 8 points

 

Total = 60 points (you need 70% to be eligible to sit the final exam = 42 points

The progress test will take place in the 4th week. 

The portfolios will be collected in the 4th week. 

 

Final exam:

•  written test (i.e. use of English, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing)
•  interview (in pairs)
