Translations:
You will prepare 40 pages from any book in English (preferably fiction; no technical manuals or poetry). ‘Prepare’ means you’ll go through the text at home and should know ALL the words and be able to translate ANY sentence into good (i.e. natural, correct) Czech/Slovak. You’ll sign up for a session with me, we’ll start in late March/early April. I will choose random passages or just sentences from your text and you’ll translate them on the spot; no penciled notes please.
