Education of Individuals with Physical Disabilities and Chronic Disease

General Information

—The aim of the course:
—- Familiarized students with the basic terminology of Physical disabilites and Chronic disease from the international perspective.
—- Students with be introduced to contemporary provision provided for students with PI and chronic disease and concepts of remediation care in selected cases.


Learning outcomes:
 - Student will be familiarized with the terminology of Physical impairments and Chronic diseases from International   Perspective
 - Student will be introduced to the features of selected Physical impairments and Chronic diseases
 - Student will be familiarized with the principles of provision and remediation care provided to students with Physical impairments and Chronic diseases


Course organization:
    The course meeting swill be held on: 7.3.; 14.3.; 28.3.; 4.4.; 17.4.;





Course requirements:
Active Participation on all group meetings.
Preparation of the presentation (pptx/paper presentation) based on given topic.

The presentation lenght is 20 - 30 minutes, consisted of the fundamental information about selected topic and at least one individual/pair/group activity.

The topics will be assigned during the first course lecture. Students are provided with basic literature materials in Interactive syllaby but may use any literature/electronical source (the only requirement is its reliability). 

All students of the course will take the role of the Facilitator and Reviewer:
Reviewer: Student, who summarized in 3 sentences key information from presented topic.
Facilitator: Student, who ask questions for the discussion directly after colleague´s presentation.
