The description of practice by a former student:
"Tutoring is a course that aims at practice teaching in schools, institutions, or pupils' homes, and also building mutually
beneficial relationships between you and a child. You will assist children in the subjects they usually struggle in and guide them to the point at which they become independent learners. The children can be pupils or students from
socially disadvantaged backgrounds, and therefore this course is not just about teaching. You as a tutor can customize lessons and activities just for your children - take them to the theatre, watch a movie, etc. Tutoring might help
you increase understanding of the subject area, build patience, experience new cultures, develop empathy, and even find out whether you are on the career path that's right for you."
