Workshop Title: The Occupation of Play for Children with Developmental Disabilities  

Information: 
PhDr. Libby Hladik, PhD, OTR, is a clinical occupational therapist and Fulbright Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Research in Inclusive Education. She is spending one-year researching cultural community participation among Czech families with children with developmental disabilities. 
This interactive workshop will introduce the foundational concepts of “occupation” or “meaningful activity,” which guides occupational therapy (OT) assessment and intervention in clinical practice. The workshops will use active classroom techniques to explore how play is an essential tool for evaluation and intervention for children with developmental disabilities.
