Evaluation and Feedback
The fulfillment of the course objectives and the support for achieving learning outcomes are carried out through the activities performed during the practicum and through interactions between the mentor teacher and the student during the practicum at the primary/secondary school.
The achievement of goals and outcomes is verified during the practicum through monitoring the students' learning progress. At the beginning of the teaching practice student teacher and mentor have to define personalized „Initial goals“ of student teacher professional development. At the half of the teaching practice student teacher and mentor have to evaluate „Initial goals“ and define „Running goals“ of student teacher professional development. At the end of the teaching practice student teacher and mentor have to evaluate „Running goals“ and define „Future goals“ for future professional development of the student.
The mentor teacher provides the student with formative feedback throughout the practicum and summative feedback at the end of the practicum. Credits are awarded after completing the required number of hours of teaching and other practicum activities, based on the mentor’s recommendation.
