Publish Your Scholarly Book in McFarland Publishers' "Critical Explorations in Science Fiction and Fantasy" Series McFarland Publishers is seeking proposals for book-length scholarly volumes to be published in its "Critical Explorations in Science Fiction and Fantasy" series, a soft-cover series devoted to scholarship in science fiction and fantasy in all media edited by Donald Palumbo and C. W. Sullivan III. Proposals for studies in science fiction and fantasy are invited in such areas as literature, film, art, popular culture, mythology, and folklore. Proposals should include a prospectus (general description of the volume), a table of contents, a one-paragraph description of each chapter focusing on thesis and works discussed, a draft of the preface or introduction, at least one sample chapter, a length estimate (75,000-word to 110,000-word projects are preferred), a description of special features (such as artwork or photos to be included), a proposed deadline for delivery of the completed manuscript, and a curriculum vitae.
