Topic-Comment Sentence Structure In Chinese garmmar, a topic could be an object or a subject in the sentences.A topic mainly leads the gist of the sentence. The Emphatic 是 Using in a conversation. Speaker wants to reaffirm his/her approval and giving more positive (而且)or negative details (可是 / 就是)about the topic in a polite way. e.g. A:「陈老师的中文课真有趣 / 真有意思。」 B:「陈老师的中文课(有趣)是有趣,而且作业很少。」 B:「陈老师的中文课(有趣)是有趣,可是作业有点儿多。」 e.g.___________________________________________________________ e.g.___________________________________________________________ 5. ……不如+S. + ( Adj. ) ≒     ……没有+ S. + (那么)Adj. e.g. 我的宿舍不如他的近。 我的宿舍没有他的(那么)近。 e.g.___________________________________________________________
