 Miguel es nombrado párroco de un pueblo socialista coincidiendo con la sublevación de 1936. Desde
el inicio de la guerra, el bando nacional ocupa el pueblo y pronto se suceden los fusilamientos. En
    su lucha por defender a los represaliados, Miguel se enfrenta a la jerarquía eclesiástica y
                            militar, poniendo en juego su propia vida.

                                             SYNOPSIS

A young priest arrives in his first assignment to a small parish serving a working-class village in
the north of Spain in 1936. He is a witness of the military uprising that precipitates the Spanish
  Civil War and, moved by his faith, he stands up to defend his people. From the beginning of the
   war, the village where the young protagonist arrives remains within the area of the Francoist
military insubordinates. It soon becomes a top target of repression for being considered as a “red
                                             village”.


 The loneliness haunting him brings Miguel close to Margari, a young schoolteacher, whose husband
   was killed by the fascists. Margari becomes the only shelter in the path of Miguel’s helpless
                 fight, as well as the only aid to offset his deep disappointment.


   Based on a real story, the film portrays how the young priest commits himself to stand by his
parishioners and how he denounces from the pulpit and before the Catholic Hierarchy the atrocities
 being committed on behalf of the Gospel (written of as a Holy Crusade) to the extent that he will
                             risk his own life in the name of Christ.

por su capacidad de documento linguistico, sino tambien por su indisociable contenido cultural. La
adquisicion de una segunda lengua esta destinada al fracaso si se deja de lado el aprendizaje de
los codigos culturales mas fundamentales de la comunidad hablante de esa lengua.

            Cuanto mayor conocimiento cultural, mayor competencia lingustica, tanto en el caso de
la lengua materna como en el de una segunda lengua adquirida. Asi pues, el cine en la clase de
lengua y cultura extranjera se presenta como una valiosa herramienta para combinar simultaneamente
el trabajo linguistico y cultural. Por su contenido tematico especifico, “La buena nueva” es de
especial interes para el estudio de aspectos de Historia y contexto sociopolitico contemporaneo,
sin excluir, por supuesto, el aprendizaje del español como lengua extranjera.

c)      Investiga como se vio la Guerra Civil española desde el exterior y como reacciono la
comunidad internacional, especialmente tu propio pais.


d)     ¿conoces la religion catolica? Averigua cuales son sus creencias basicas y cuales son las
caracteristicas socioculturales generales de las comunidades catolicas.


e)      ¿conoces la postura de la iglesia catolica de la epoca en torno al exterminio de judios
durante la II Guerra Mundial?¿crees que hay similitudes o diferencias en la actuacion de Pio XII en
ambos conflictos? Recomendamos el visionado de la pelicula “Amen” de Costa Gavras.
