COLLOQUIUM INFORMATION
The colloquium will take place on Monday, 21 May, afternoon. Please register for one of the sessions through the IS.
If you cannot attend the colloquium at this date for serious reasons, let me know as soon as possible.
The colloquium will take place at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts, Building U1, 2nd floor (corridor to the left) -- Room U26.
The building might be a bit tricky to find if you have never been there, so please come a bit earlier to make sure you have time to find it. Building U1 is a part of the VÚT (Brno University of Technology) building complex at Údolní Street 53 (it is a hired building due to the construction works at Arne Nováka). You can take tram no. 4 or buses no. 25 or 26 to the Úvoz stop, which is located at the intersection of the Údolní Street and the Úvoz Street. The entrance to the VÚT premises is a short walk from the traffic lights up the Údolní Street. After passing through the gates (or the reception), you need to walk to the other end of the yard to find Building U1.
Study and think of possible responses to the colloquium questions that are available below. You should use the research and concepts we covered throughout the six lectures, but you can also include other possible explanations. There is not necessarily one correct answer for each question -- the important thing is that you think about the problems thoroughly.
Colloquium has a form of a discussion in groups of max. 5 students. Each student will draw a question and respond to it. Additional discussion may follow, with everybody joining in.
Make sure you have met all the course requirements before coming to the colloquium (no more than 2 absences; all quizzes completed in time -- check your attendance and quiz records in the IS). All exceptions or compensations have to be arranged by email well in advance. No compensations will be negotiated on the day of the colloquium or after!Below, you will find the Compensatory Quiz for those who missed one of the quizzes and sent an apology (the quiz is personalized -- no other students can access it).
The quiz contains 20 questions randomly selected from the previous six sets. To pass the quiz, you need to score 16 points (80%) or higher! Like with the regular quizzes, you have 3 attempts. Remember you have to take the quiz before Monday, 21 May, 12 p.m.! Also, don't forget to complete the quiz that you missed, which has been reopened for you (only if you have sent an apology by email).
