For the test:


Learn the grammar (excluding the double weak verbs and the 4R verb); skip the lists of adverbs and
prepositions for the time being. I added a few things to the grammar, and changed a few others, so
use the corrected edition 2014.

At the end of the grammar I have added a list of questions and answers which more or less
summarizes what I expect you to know (including the basic forms of the strong verb at the end!),
and what you need for understanding the text.


Study the text of the Codex Hammurabi §§ 1-10 in cuneiform; you will find the nouns and verbs of
those §§ listed in front of the Exercises. Other words you can look up in my glossary, or in the
Concise Dictionary of Akkadian (of which you have a pdf).
