1. What you normally write? In last years I usually write school assignments. I study psychology and art therapy so the themes are from this field. At the bachelor's degree, I was interested in bilingualism from the perspective of neuroscience and in the framework of the bachelor thesis I made my own research from this field. I examined executive function and the difference between groups of monolinguals and bilinguals. 2. What do you like writing? I don’t write very often except school assignment. I spend my free time in other ways. If I had to choose, I would like to write fantasy stories or fairy tales. I often take a piece of paper and just write my thoughts and ideas to organize them. 3. How often do you normally write, aside from school assignments? I don‘t write very often. When I have a free time I do other activities like drawing so I’m not a great writer. 4. How do you feel about your own writing (do you feel proud of what you produce)? I don’t feel proud of my writings. I know there are many things to improve. But I don’t feel disappointed because I always do my best and this is the most important for me. At school my writings usually meet the requirements for their acceptance but they are not perfect. 5. How do you feel about the writing process (does it come easily to you, or is it difficult)? If I write only my thoughts and ideas on paper it comes easily to me. But produce more coherent text is quite difficult for me. I have a problem with finding appropriate terms and phrases, express clearly and comprehensibly. 6. How do you feel about sharing your writing? I don’t like sharing my writings with others. If I don’t have to I won‘t share it. I'm not confident enough to show my work to others. 7. Is creative writing what you would call academic writing? I don’t think so. For me academic writing is rather formal. It uses terms and phrases which are shared by the community of researchers and scientists. 8. What do you normally read? I have to read a lot to school, so I usually read about psychology topics especially about art therapy and psychotherapy. But I’m really interested in it. Aside from that I like reading fantasy literature and fairy tales. 9. How often do you normally read, aside from school assignments? In my free time, I don’t read very much. I prefer fantasy literature. For example Lord of the Rings. 10. What language skills do you think you use while you're writing? I think I use a knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. Understanding the main ideas of other (research) text is also important. 11. Without looking it up on the internet, what is an essay, in your own words? An essay is in my view an expert writing. It is based on research findings and facts.
