Psychology constructs: theory and methodology

Single-case experimental designs for intervention's effectiveness testing: An example from sport psychology research

This lecture introduces the use of single-case experimental designs in the context of testing the effectiveness of psychological and other interventions. We will discuss basic concepts related to the methodology, different types of single-case experimental designs, current standards, methods for data analysis, and guidelines and reporting checklists. We will demonstrate the applicability of the presented methodology using an example of a study in applied sports psychology.
