                                        Written assignments

   

   1.     Translation from the original source of your presentation.
   Length: 2 - 3 pages, size 14, lining 2 (make space for my notes)
   Form: printed. Hand in together with the readable original text and clearly marked translated
   part as soon as possible if you want to sit for your JA002 exam in April,  or one week before
   the exam.
   Remember it is part of your written exam and influences your grade.

   

   2.     Abstract of your presentation – email to ……………………………… by March 17^th.   I need your
   abstracts by March 20^th; otherwise you cannot participate in the conference on April 7^th.
   Remember to put your name and the title of your presentation.
   Length: 6-8 lines
   Caution: The text is supposed to be fully understandable as an independent text. It is written
   in the 3^rd or 1^st person sg.
   This is your written credit task, but the real purpose is to inform the participants of the
   conference about your presentation so if you want some audience, make it sound attractive.

  Presentation

   

   Length: 8 minutes

   Topic: concerning your field of study (geology or geography), using sources in English, and
   bringing new information to your classmates.

   You will perform your presentation individually to me on March 30th – this is your oral credit
   task.

   Good performers will be invited to take part in a simulated conference on April 7th, and thus
   will pass their oral exam.
