Dear students, collegues, ladies and gentlemen, the IGS MU will host prof. David Roberts, former director of Applied geology at the Staffordshire University, who will present the lecture: Prof. David Roberts Minerals: Who Needs Them, Who Supplies Them and How Much Is There? His lecture is a part of the Student lecture tour all over Europe (cca 30 European universities). The key topic, key word, of the lecture are raw materials ­ commodities, but in a broad concept of today world problems, its economics and economics of industrial minerals, sustainable development, business, industry and investments. Certainly you will find it as usful extension of your view at those problems and trends in a largely condensed form with concentration on raw material commodities. Lecture is organized by EAGE (European association for geoscientists and engineers), that organises seminars, workshops, conferences and other events and activities for students all over the Europe.
