INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE END-OF-TERM PRESENTATIONS · Find partners and make groups of three students. · Choose a topic about a problem in society or environment where geographers can offer some help or a solution. · The aim of the task is delivering a team presentation + preparing a poster about your topic. * FORM of presentation: 8 -10 minutes, structured, each student presents a part of the topic, be prepared for a discussion – listeners must ask questions * FORM of the poster: 1 page, printable A4 format * Upload your poster in „odevzdávárny“ before the presentations are delivered. The other students will read them. * Presentations will be delivered in classes in weeks 10, 11 and 12 The task is a compulsory part of the course. It will be assessed, pass mark is always 60%. ASSESSMENT OF PRESENTATIONS 10% - structure – introduction, main part, ending 20% - a reasonable topic, clearly described and analysed for the listeners to understand well 10% - good and relevant slides 10% - balanced contribution of team members in speaking 20% - good English, signalling language (e.g. Firstly, Now I’ll hand over to Jan.
