Credit Test and Credit Requirements
To get credit at the end of the semester you have to complete these 2 tasks:
1 Self-reflexive essay (100-120 words)
2 Essay on a controversial topic (instead of your presentation) - 250-350 words
On May 18, I will upload here an interactive credit test. The test will remain here for the whole exam period and you can take it whenever you want. After completing the test, you will see your results immediately. Then you will send to me a self-reflexive essay, where you tell me the number of the points you got in the test and you will answer some of the following questions:
1 When you opened the test were you surprised to see its structure and the tasks? If yes, why do you think it was so? If not, why do you think you weren’t?
2 Which parts of the test were the easiest for you? Why is it so?
3 Which parts of the test were the most difficult for you? Why?
4 How were you preparing for the test?
5 Did you spend enough time to get good results?
6 Did you contact your teacher if you had a question or needed help?
7 Are you happy with the test result?
8 What things have you done to improve your English during the past three or four months? Did everything go the way you had planned? Were there any difficult situations?
9 Why is English important to you?
10 What do you plan to do in the future to improve your English?
Important note: the essay should not just consist of short answers to the questions above - these questions should only guide you to write your essay, that is, a coherent text where sentences logically follow one after the other or are interconnected by using linking words.
Important note No2: The final English exam 001 will have a similar format
Essay on a controversial topic - see the worksheet below to guide you how to write it
Deadline: September 30 - once you submit these 2 tasks, I will give you credit in the IS.
You will send your essays to: dudova.marketa@sci.muni.cz
