COURSE MATERIALS

will be uploaded in the syllabus on a weekly basis; check the syllabus for new materials on Sundays. You can either print out the handouts or bring your laptops and tablets.

LEVEL

Entry level is B1. With a lower level, you will find it difficult to participate reasonably well.
With a higher level, you may have different expectations - see the language centre website for current offer.
The coursework is aimed at moving towards B1+ and B2 level skills needed for reading, listening, speaking and writing, connected with academic skills.

CREDIT REQUIREMENTS

• attendance - you can miss max. two seminars during the whole semester - no questions asked, though;-)
• Active work and cooperation in classes 
• Completing home assignments  
• EVERY WEEK
  
• watching a short video (summary and vocab work in your journal) 
• ONCE PER SEMESTER
  • presenting a poster at a class science conference
  • writing an academic email
  • writing a summary of your poster presentation
