Introduction to Instrumentation

This week you will learn the basics and application of

1. Chromatography
2. Mass Spectrometry and
   
3. Different Acquisition Methods,

specifically how chromatographic separations work on a theoretical basis and how it is realized, which components are in a mass spectrometer and how we use it and lastly the different ways how data can be acquired on the instruments and related specific information.

Each subsection contains example questions at the end for which the responses will be provided before the next class (05.03.) which are relevant for the exam.
