Work in pairs. Read your classmate's first draft and comment on the following points:

1. Introduction 

• Is there an opening passage with clear connection to the essay title?
• Is there a clear thesis statement specifying the aim of the essay?

2. Paragraphs (main body)

• Does each paragraph have one main argument?
• Are the supporting points logical and do they flow coherently? Is the cohesion effective?
• Are the key concepts explained clearly?

3. Conclusion

• Does the conclusion match the thesis statement and the key points in the body?
• Does the conclusion summarize the main points logically?
• Is the focus of the essay consistent throughout?
