Dear professor Gram,


My name is Altantuya Baatartsogt and I am writing this letter to apply for the PhD scholarship in
marine bacterial biotechnology at your institute.

In May 2009, I will be graduated from Masaryk university with a Master’s degree in microbiology. I
plan to pursue a career as a environmental microbiology after graduation. During my studying, I
have developed and improved valuable laboratory skills. I am currently working with Diplom thesis
named Identification of Salmonell protein by antigen character.

From 2001-2007, I worked at Natural History Museum of Mongolia, and my work  responsibilities were
to collect specimens, to identify species. When I work, I was participating and organising several
scientific conferences and meetings. Example; in 2006, I organised joint scientific conference
named „Orthopteras in Mongolia“ and pubished the research paper.

I look forward to the opportunity  to interview for a position with DTU Aqua and will call you next
