XD107 Doctoral Seminar in Chemistry The teacher in charge of the seminar XD107 in the Fall Semester 2011: Doc. Ing. Vladimír Šindelář, Ph.D. sindelar@chemi.muni.cz Seminar XD107 will be held in the Bohunice Campus in the Chemistry lecture hall A11/132 on Thursdays from 16.00-17.00. The updated schedule of the seminar will be posted in the IS together with lecture abstracts. On every first Thursday, the seminar will be a part of the monthly Czech Chemical Society meeting which starts at 14.00. http://csch.chemi.muni.cz/index.html Students wishing to present their compulsory lecture for their thesis defense will contact the person in charge of the seminar about scheduling well before the beginning of a semester in which they want to present. They will also send a one-page abstract of their lecture and a brief CV to be introduced at the onset of their lecture. The lecture summarizing major findings of the doctoral research work should be prepared for 45 minutes with 10 min left for questions. The tutor should be present for the lecture. Rules for obtaining a credit for the seminar XD107: 1) 100% attendance (any absence must be explained by medical conditions or work-related tasks). 2) Every student has to ask two questions during the semester.
