C2115 Practical Introduction to Supercomputing
Pre-requisities
WOLF Cluster
- Tasks will be solved primarily at the WOLF clusters
- If you do not have an account on the WOLF cluster, submit an application before the course start.
- For access in the pandemic situation, we recommend to use a remote desktop (TigerVNC), see tutorials bellow. Be familiar with this kind of access before the course start.
MetaCentrum Supercomputing Centre
- Additionally, you will use MetaCentrum to solve some tasks.
- If you do not have an account, submit a request before the course start.
Possible justification of the request: I will use the environment of MetaCentrum to solve tasks within the course C2115 Practical introduction to supercomputing lead by Petr Kulhanek at Masaryk University.
Remote Access from MS Windows
- Putty, WinSCP, display export
- Kerberos
- Remote desktop (TigerVNC)
Remote Access from Linux or macOS
- ssh (terminal access) and scp (remote copying of files) are native commands of the operating system
