GI 251 Event Stratigraphy Topic Presentation Fall 2022 For the topic presentation there should be an overview of the period(s) under discussion that addresses the nature of the events and how they relate to global correlation, and then a more in-depth discussion of specific event(s) described in one or two journal articles. These articles need to be made available to the class at least 48 hours prior to your presentation. Assessment will be based on: Overview of time period events – a good place for this summary is “Geological Time Scale 2020” edited by Gradstein, Ogg, Schmitz, and Ogg, or the earlier publication “Geologic Time Scale 2012” edited by Gradstein, Ogg, Schmitz, and Ogg.
