Dear students,
Welcome to the Business Policy course, in which you will go through the process of implementing the company's strategy. You should learn which steps the company needs to take and what is crucial for successful strategy implementation. We will work together in 4 different workshops on:
- Creating a strategy for a company of your choice
- Preparation of steps for every company department – who must be involved and why
- Added value of products and services. How to understand it, define and transform to the product or service parameters and features
- Leadership – how can leaders contribute to the success
After the course, you should be able to:
- Understand what is needed to create a successful strategy for the company
- Define the general goals to support the strategy
- Based on the goals set the tasks for every company department
- Understand the importance of customer needs knowledge
- Create the right added value based on the customer's needs
- Understand the leadership and your contribution to the strategy
Please note that the course is newly created in the spring semester of 2024, we welcome your feedback.
Schedule
The course will be organized in workshops that will take place on Thursdays 29.2, 14.3., 18.4., and 2.5. (10:00-14:00).
Lecturers
Ing. Jakub Cech and Ing. Andrej Sisolak are representatives of the top management of Sika-CZ company. Aside from this course, they also successfully run MPH_ACOP "Consulting project" course in the Autumn semester.
Course grading
You will be evaluated based on your active participation in the workshops and contribution to the teamwork.
