Interactive Syllabus

This course focuses on economic law in Europe, examining the interactions between EU and EFTA countries and their relations with third countries such as Switzerland and the USA. It primarily addresses one of the four freedoms within the EU: Financial Services. The course covers the regulation and supervision of the financial market, particularly within Europe. A significant focus is placed on the Banking Union and its various pillars that contribute to the stability of the financial market and the provision of financial services within the EU.

The course aims to enhance students' understanding of the essential links within the economic cooperation framework in Europe, particularly about the EEA and the EU and the four fundamental freedoms. By the end of the course, students will gain primary knowledge of the free movement of capital and (financial) services with an understanding of bank resolutions.
